Two weeks ago national newspapers reported that a giant 60ft Fin whale had washed up dead upon Porthtowan beach. Only problem for me was that I was in London at the time, and by the time I had arrived back, the big spring tides had swiftly dealt with the giant cetacean and my plans to have a picture taken straddling triumphantly atop of the beast with a frying pan were dashed.
Fast forward a week and I decided to check a little known cove nearby my house for a few waves after work, and there it was, in all its jelly like, semi-decomposed glory. The godamn Porthtowan Whale!
